Top seed Ub Huishan NE face dangerous Chinese teams at FIBA 3x3 Manama Masters

MANAMA (Bahrain) - Top seed Ub Huishan NE (SRB) will be out to end a title drought on the FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2023 at the Manama Masters on November 16-17.

The Serbs headline the 14-team draw in the penultimate stop of the regular season.

But their path towards a drought breaking seventh Masters title of the season will start in Pool A against dangerous Chinese teams Futian (CHN) and Hangzhou (CHN).

Ub and Futian  squared off in the final of the Manila Masters, while Hangzhou unforgettably shocked the world by winning the Constanta Masters

That is surely the 'Group of death' but Pool B comes close with second seed Vienna (AUT) battling young guns San Juan (PUR) and Marijampole Mantinga (LTU).

The Austrians have been one of the form teams on the World Tour recently, but face rising San Juan who they beat in the group stages in Chengdu en route to a runners-up finish.

The Lithuanians have strung together some nice performances to ensure they won't be merely making up the numbers. Sharpshooter Evaldas Dziaugys is more than capable of going toe-to-toe with Vienna's Quincy Diggs and San Juan's Antonio Ralat.

After a slump, third seed Antwerp TOPdesk (BEL) have regrouped but are desperate for their second title on the World Tour. They'll face Lausanne Sport LS (SUI) and Jeddah (KSA) in what shapes as an intriguing Pool C.

Antwerp and Lausanne will meet in a rematch of the classic final in Lausanne as the Swiss look for revenge.

Jeddah have slowly improved this season and it's another opportunity to watch the crazy skills of Malik Hluchoweckyj.

Pool D is led by Amsterdam HiPRO (NED), who are still looking for their first World Tour 2023 title in what has been an up and down season.

You just know Dutch superstar Worthy de Jong will be lighting up the buckets in Manama as this dude has been on a scoring tear all season.

He spells trouble for local hope Riffa (BRN), while the third team in the group will come from a loaded qualifying draw featuring Partizan (SRB), Princeton (USA) and Alula (KSA).
