Unbeatable Ub Huishan NE renew rivalry with Princeton at FIBA 3x3 Lausanne Masters 2023

LAUSANNE (Switzerland) - Unbeatable Ub Huishan NE (SRB) will face early tests in their quest to continue a flawless FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2023 season at the Lausanne Masters on August 18-19.

The World Tour returns to its annual event in the Olympic capital and the No.1 seeds Ub will be looking to defend their crown.

They'll also be aiming for a record-extending seventh straight Masters title and boast their full-strength team in Lausanne with Macau Masters MVP Marko Brankovic returning after missing Prague

Ub will renew their rivalry with Princeton (USA) after the Serbs won a tense semi-final at the Edmonton Masters

Princeton are looking for their first Masters title since 2019 but hopes are high with new sensation Henry Caruso proving to be a walking bucket.

Marijampole Mantinga (LTU) won't be a pushover as the third team in Pool A.

In-form Antwerp TOPdesk (BEL) will be eying ending Ub's reign, but firstly they'll have to get past hosts Lausanne (SUI) - who always bring it in front of their passionate fans - and dangerous Dusseldorf LFDY (GER) in Pool B.

Antwerp will be confident with Sukhbaatar Challenger MVP Nick Celis in hot form and so too two-way menace Dennis Donkor.

Third seeds Raudondvaris Hoptrans (LTU) will be out for revenge after suffering a beating by Miami in Macau, where superstar Jimmer Fredette ran rings around them.

They'll need dunk machine Modestas Kumpys to be in flight mode, but he'll face a giant obstacle in legendary American player Kareem Maddox.

Versailles (FRA) will be much more than a third wheel in Pool C after the Frenchmen made the semis in Belgrade, where Antoine Eito was splashing from everywhere on the half-court.

Pool D is highlighted by a blockbuster clash between Liman Huishan NE (SRB) and Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy (MGL), who squared off in the semis in Macau with the Serbs prevailing.

On that night Chinese star Ning Zhang announced himself as a star with a dominant performance and he'll again form a dynamic duo with red-hot Stefan Kojic, who splashed all over Belgrade in Liman's runners-up finish.

The third team in the group will come from the qualifying draw comprising Tel-Aviv (ISR), Kandava Turiba (LAT) and Sant Feliu (ESP).
