Riga, Team NL, and Novi Sad headline ULE 3x3 final in historic theater

ST PETERSBURG (Russia) - 3 stops. 3 winners. The third season of the United League Europe 3x3 has been filled with drama. Therefore it made sense to bring the competition to the historic Buff Theater for the grand finale on April 26.

After three stops, Riga won the regular-season title, earning 240 points, edging out Team NL (230 points), and Novi Sad (225 points).

Karlis Lasmanis of Riga, the top scorer for the regular season, was named MVP.

All three teams won one ULE 3x3 stop, setting up a showdown to see which team is truly is the best of the bunch.

At Stop 3, Novi Sad won their first-ever ULE 3x3 event, as Dusan Bulut and the new-look team continued their rise of form in the past few weeks.

The final will feature the top 8 teams from the regular season, with four Russian squads joining Team NL, Team LT, Riga, and Novi Sad..

The quarterfinal bracket is as follows:

Riga (1) vs. Cop Moscow (8)
Tri Zvezdochki (5) vs. Team LT (5)
Team NL (2) vs. Inamono (Moscow) (7)
Novi Sad (3) vs. Gagarin (6)

This will also be a first for 3x3 venues. Following the first three stops, which took place in a shopping mall (TRC "Peter Rainbow"), the season finale will be held in a unique location - the music and drama theater "BUFF" in St. Petersburg, home of shows, plays, and now world-class 3x3 action. All the money raided from tickets sales will be donated to charity.

The winners of the United League Europe 3x3 will qualify for the FIBA 3x3 World Tour. The team that takes second place has an opportunity to participate in FIBA 3x3 Challenger. The events to which the teams will qualify will be announced at a later stage.

Make sure to tune in to all of the action, where it will be broadcast live on FIBA 3x3's YouTube Channel and Facebook page.
