Assembling the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Jeddah Final 2020 Dream Team

JEDDAH (Saudi Arabia) - The World Tour 2020 has come to a close, leaving us with  highlights we'll be talking about for a long time. Let’s take a closer look at the top four players from the Jeddah Final based on their player value per game ranking.

Reminder: Player value is measured by the following: Shooting-value + Blocked Shots + Key Assists + Buzzer Beaters – Turnovers + (Rebounds/2).

Ignas Vaitkus (Utena Uniclub) – 7.8 P-VAL per game

Vaitkus is getting used to earning a spot on the Dream Team after also being included in the World Tour return Dream Team earlier this year.

Now, at the World Tour Final, the Lithuanian has once again proven to be the most valuable player at the event. He finished with a 7.8 P-VAL per game, leading Utena Uniclub to the semifinals in their first Final appearance. He saved his best performance for the all-Lithuanian showdown vs. Sakiai Gulbele in the pool stage. Vaitkus dropped a deadly triple-five of 10 points, 5 highlights, and 6 rebounds. If 2020 was the appetizer, we can’t wait to see what the main course looks like in 2021.

Aurelijus Pukelis (Sakiai Gulbele) – 7.6 P-VAL per game

Aurelijus Pukelis has been the rock for the Sakiai Gulbele team all season, leading them in points, P-VAL, and S-VAL. He was once again sharp at the Jeddah Finals, stepping up against tough pool stage competition and in the absence of Marijus Uzupis.

Against NY Harlem, Pukelis scored a huge bucket to tie the score at 17-17 and then again scored the first point in overtime. He was also a beast around the rim, finishing second in rebounds per game (6.5). Pukelis was also a one-man show vs. Utena Uniclub. He scored 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in the loss, a performance we have come to expect from the number one ranked Lithuanian player.

Anze Srebovt (Piran) – 6.8 P-VAL per game

Anze Srebovt did a bit of everything for Piran in Jeddah. In the first game vs. Riga, he caught fire scoring 4 points in 75 seconds. Throw in 6 rebounds and 2 highlights, and you have yourself a solid game.

The man tried to singlehandedly pull Piran with him into the bracket stage, scoring 10 points against Jeddah, including 4 points in 22 seconds to bring the score to 14-17. It would not be Piran’s day, but Srebovt gave us his best Reggie Miller impression in the clutch.

Dulguun Enkhbat (Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy) 6.7 P-VAL per game

Before the Jeddah Final began, we called out Enkhbat as one of the players to watch in the tournament, and on Day 1 he lived up to the hype.

In the first action of the final, Enkhbat scored 7 of the final 9 points for Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy, who held their own against top-seeded Liman. He finished with 9 points in total in addition to a Rodman-esque 9 rebounds. Not a bad line for a World Tour Final debut.
