Novi Sad Al Wahda win FIBA 3x3 World Tour Lausanne Masters 2018, presented by VTX

LAUSANNE (FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2018) - Novi Sad Al Wahda (SRB) won the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Lausanne Masters, presented by VTX for the second straight year on August 24-25, 2018.

The 2-time World Tour winners beat fellow Serbians Liman Tesla Voda (SRB) 21-20 in the final and won their 3rd Masters of the season... in 3 appearances. This is the 2nd time this season that the number 1 team in the world defeat the number 2 in a final, following the Saskatoon Masters.

Stefan Stojacic's 2-pointer tied the game at 20 apiece and Liman Tesla Voda had a chance to win the USD 30,000 cheque. Aleksandar Ratkov missed the layup and on the next possession, Marko Savic played hero with a tough contested game-winner.

Tamas Ivosev (Novi Sad Al Wahda) was named MVP after scoring  a second-best 32 points. Stefan Stojacic (Liman Tesla Voda) topped all scorers with 42 points.

Pro dunker Chris Staples (USA) won the dunk contest and cashed in USD 2,500 in prize money. This is Staples' first appearance and win at a World Tour this season. 

The 5th Masters of the season will be held in the Debrecen, Hungary on August 30-31,
