Garlepp tops all scorers on Day 1 at FIBA 3x3 World Tour Utsunomiya Masters

UTSUNOMIYA (FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2018) - Thomas Garlepp (Melbourne I-Athletic) topped all scorers on Day 1 at FIBA 3x3 Utsunomiya Masters 2018 in Japan on July 28. 

The MVP of the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2018 couldn't help his team qualify for the knock-out stage of the Utsunomiya Masters but he still ended Day 1 as the top scorer of pool play with 17 points in 2 games.  The Australian scored 8 points a trilling 1-point loss against Zemun (SRB) and then, 9 against Humpolec Bernard (CZE).  He scored more in one game than all his teammates combined in the whole tournament. 

Seconds in the charts were the MVP of the 2016 World Tour Final Jasmin Hercegovac (Ljubljana) and the Czech star Ondrej Siska (Humpolec Bernard) with 16 points apiece.
