Top 5 reasons to watch the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Chengdu Masters

CHENGDU (China) – It’s quick, it’s epic and it’s back for the second Masters of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour.

Panda – Panda, Panda, Panda, Panda. We are back in Chengdu, the city of Pandas. After an incredible opener at the Doha Masters last month, the World Tour is now going to China and here are our 5 reasons why you should watch the Chengdu Masters for free on our Facebook and YouTube channels on June 1-2.

At number one, can Riga Ghetto win their second Masters in a row?
Karlis Lasmanis was a menace at the Doha Masters and came home with the MVP trophy. Flight KLM has developed a nasty all-around game. He’s all business like the front of the plane. With Liman and Novi Sad around, can he still go back to back at the Masters?

Coming up at two, he’s the No.1 Russian player though he’s still 22!

Alexander Zuev is a 3x3 phenom and it’s easy to see why. His shooting stroke is smooth like a criminal and the Gagarin star can hit buckets from everywhere on the court. Even in China, he can pull up from Russia, with love.

At three, it’s not just the Toronto Raptors exciting Canadian hoops fans.

New kid on the block Edmonton has taken 3x3 by storm after winning the Nanjing Challenger and finishing second in Penang. With Steve Sir sniping from distance and Jermaine Bucknor brutalizing the rims, Edmonton’s chances are big. I’d say bigger than Kawhi Leonard’s hands but probably that’s a lie.

Coming in at four, this stud can challenge Zuev’s crown as the hottest prospect in the 3x3 game.

23-year-old Yi Zheng is the No.1 Chinese player in the world and coming off a spectacular FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup.

With LeBron having a breather these days, no one delivers a nastier chase down block than Yi Zheng who will have the home crowd more charged up than Drake sitting courtside.

Last but not least, get your popcorn ready cause Kristaps Dargais is back at the dunk contest!

There is a good reason why the Latvian is nicknamed ‘Thor’. The backboard could snap in half such is his raw power but Dargais also sprinkles creativity into his dunks to be the full package.

But Dargais will get all he can handle. Brodie Stephens from Australia has hops like a kangaroo on the moon while local favorite Yixun Z will be pumped up at home.

The crowd will party like it’s Chinese New Year if Yixun Z wins.
