ING-DiBa Berlin 3x3 Challenger Preview: A Debrecen rematch?

BERLIN (3x3 Challenger) - Novi Sad Al Wahda (UAE) and Liman (SRB) played one of the best games in 3x3 history last week at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Debrecen Masters. Will the first 2 seeds meet again at the ING-DiBa Berlin 3x3 Challenger in the German capital on September 8-9?

Liman stunned the 3x3 world when they beat the number one 3x3 team in the world Novi Sad Al Wahda in the semi-finals of the Debrecen Masters.

The young Serbian team (25 years old on average) has already clinched a spot to the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Bloomage Beijing Final on October 28-29 and a good showing in Berlin would allow them to play at the World Tour again before the Final.

The two best teams at the ING-DiBa Berlin 3x3 Challenger get a chance to qualify for the Mexico City Masters on September 30 - October 1.

Since Novi Sad Al Wahda have already secured their ticket to Latin America: if they reach the final in Berlin, the team ranked 3rd will then fly to Mexico as well.

The tournament will attract 2 additional teams from the Top 20 with Belgrade (SRB, #9) and the Lausanne Masters finalists, Team Lausanne (SUI, #18).

The 16 participating teams - from 11 different countries! - will also have their eyes on the 10,000 USD in prize money.
