García named MVP of 3x3 World Tour Mexico City Masters

MEXICO CITY (2016 FIBA 3x3 World Tour) – Team Caguas (PUR) captain Jonathan García won MVP honours at the 2016 FIBA 3x3 World Tour Mexico City Masters on 16-17 July.

The 2012 FIBA 3x3 World Tour winner made a triumphal return to the competition after a two-year-absence, leading his team to victory in Mexico City.

The 28-year-old Puerto Rican finished second in scoring with an uncanny ability to score in traffic and find the bottom of the net from behind the arc (he hit eight 2-pointers over the weekend).

Garciá will be one of the players to watch at the World Tour Final in Abu Dhabi on 27-28 October.
