Hicks leads all scorers after Day 1 at the Lausanne Masters

LAUSANNE (2015 FIBA 3x3 World Tour) - Team Gdansk' superstar Michael Hicks dominated the scoring charts on Day 1 of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Lausanne Masters, netting a whopping 27 points in just two games.

It was hard not noticing the US-born Hicks in practice shooting jumpers with his headphones and sunglasses on. Without the glasses but with the same confidence, the 32-year-old calmly destroyed Team Utrecht (NED) with 17 (!) points and followed up with a 10-point effort against Lausanne (SUI). He also paid tribute to NBA star James Harden, doing the cook and stir the pot celebration after his best plays.

Far behind, Gasper Ovnik (Trbovlje) made damage from behind the arc (6 two-pointers) en route to 17 points. Next in the scoring race are Oliver Vogt (Lausanne) and Ovidijus Varanauskas (Vilnius). Both players were clutch on Friday 28 August, with the former nailing the game-winner in overtime against Gdansk (POL) and Varanauskas securing the win against Domzale with a hard drive to the basket.
